Heanens is a South West London-based meat wholesaler that specialises in the supply of fresh meat and poultry to London, Surrey, Middlesex as well as Heathrow and Gatwick airports 6 days a week.
Heanens started life in 1980 as a friendly family butcher’s shop run by Patrick Heanen. But, in the back of his mind, Patrick long had the foresight and vision to expand the business and venture into the catering side of the trade.
Twelve years on, Patrick’s son Sean joined the business full time as the catering side of the business was developing with Hayden Joining a year later in 1993.
With renewed optimism, vision and youth, Sean and Hayden began to drive the change from a local Butchers shop into a leading player within the wholesale meat industry.
As the company grew, floorspace ran out, hence the acquisition of the next door premises, which naturally led to the shop being split between retail and wholesale catering. Between the late nineties and 2007, the business grew further apace. Space ran out again, further premises adjacent to the current premises were purchased, resulting in a four-shop frontage.
Refurbishment of all the premises quickly followed, which eventually created elegant, modern and practical workspace designed for an even bigger and brighter future.
In 2011, Heanens was incorporated and became Heanens Wholesale Meats Ltd, Sean Heanen became Managing Director, Hayden Harbud was appointed Finance Director, whilst Patrick Heanen began to enjoy his retirement. Also, all three became shareholders and investors in Heanens Wholesale Meats.
Today, Heanens enjoys a fantastic reputation based on its high quality meats and poultry as well as peerless customer service, all of which has been recognised by local authorities across London and the SouthEast. Heanens is NSF Gold Qualified, fully licensed and HACCP compliant.
